Very sad 24 hours for Brazil

In the last 24 hours, Brazil witnessed almost three dramatic defeats in different levels:
Just now, Germany managed to defeat Brazil 4-3 in World Cup U-17 in Mexico to win the third place. Brazil was leading 3-2, but didn't manage to protect the score.

Just few hours before that game, Brazil lost the quarter final of the women World Cup to USA after again Brazil failed to protect its score. Brazil was leading 2-1 in the extra time, and seemed that the girls started to dream playing in the semi-final already. USA scored a goal in the last second to win later by PKs.

And exactly 24 hours ago, Brazil again failed to keep their score against Paraguay 1-0, to go down 1-2.
However, they did great by scoring a beautiful goal in the last minute to tie 2-2. Yet, the whole game looked very disappointing to any Brazilian fan.

Is there something wrong with the Brazilian football?

I go back little bit to the QF of last World Cup when Brazil looked certain to beat Netherlands at the half time leading 1-0. However, they didn't manage to protect their score and lost the game in a dramatic way. All of this brings memories to the period of Brazil from 1974 to 1990 World Cups failures, when they somehow lost the critical game  every time (apart from 1978) in a dramatic way.

One thing that I always liked about the Brazilian national team in the past, that when they take lead of a critical game, they seemed to know very well how to contain the game and the score. Remember 2002 QF vs. England? It was apparent that in the last half an hour, England had no hopes to come back.

I don't like to run into quick judgments, as Brazil had many low points in the past then they came back. Though it is fair to say "only time will give us answers", but so far there are no signs of a great near future for the Brazilian football.
