In my lifetime, there are three players that I enjoyed watching them more than any other stars and superstars. I am talking about the joy of the game, irregardless of the performance. Zinedine Zidane, Lionel Messi and Romario.
Yep, I enjoyed Romario, much more than Ronaldo, Ronaldinho, Rivaldo, Cristiano Ronaldo, or any other star. Only Zizou is ahead of Romario for me. Messi is in the same level.
Among so many YouTubes I watched for this crazy skillful guy, I picked this one that shows the real quality of this superstar
i liked especially those two touches at the 1:18 of this video. the first against Dinamo Kiev and the second against Argentina in 1989 Copa America.

I have seen both extensively too! Since their beginning till the end, and I am certain that Romario was more gifted. Ronaldo was good but not that good as millions of his fans and media pitured him. He was just very popular thats all. On the contrary Romario was hated by his coaches and media, because he was a bad boy from the shanty town, with arogance and a big mouth. This has destroyed his reputation a lot. But on the pitch Romario was the best centre forward ever to come out of brazil. No doubt, any one how know about football should aknowledge this. His voleys, lobs, poaching, passes and he scored with the head. Ronaldo never scored with the head, therefore making him encomplete!
