I don't think that the modern football lacks goals or attacking football. It is just at big games and big competitions the football is more tactical and conservative than the old one. Last two days, there were so many wonderful goals that worth admiring, here are some of them:
The best goes without a doubt for Neymar from Santos in a 4-5 defeat to Flamengo. Neymar scored a goal to remember:

Philippines was about to do one of the biggest surprises in Asia when it was close of tying or beating Kuwait at Kuwait. Though losing 1-2 but Philippines scored a stunning goal worth applauding
What's interesting is the fans reaction after this goal despite the game was on the Kuwaiti soil. Reason is that Kuwait has very high number of Philippinos who live and work there.
This goal reminded me with another very modest Asian team who scored a wonder goal against Kuwait too in the 1996 Asian Cup
